It's simple MOM!

Top - H&M
Belt - Newlook
Jeans - MOM Topshop
Socks - Primark
Boots - Topshop
Backpack - Topshop
Watch - Michael Kors

So the weather has been super crazy here, super hot rain...what's that all about?! I tried to balance out my outfit so that I was prepared for whatever the weather was going to throw at me. I bought these MOM style jeans from Topshop last week and I am in love with them! They are of a high quality and well worth the £40 price tag, definitely a wardrobe staple! They're so comfortable and easy to wear, hence why i styled them so simply today. No doubt that I will do another post on how to style them in a different, more unusual way.

What are your favourite pair of jeans?

What's in my makeup bag?

So I thought that i'd let you guys have a peak at the products that I keep in my day to day makeup bag and would struggle to go without! I also thought that it would be interesting to add up all of the costs at the end too, fingers crossed that it doesn't mount to too much!

Here goes nothing....

MAC Blusher in Pink Swoon - £17.50
Bare Minerals Original Veil - £20
Benefit Erase Paste - £19.50
Benefit Stay Flawless Primer - £24.50
Benefit They're Real Mascara - £19.50
Benefit Cha Cha Tint - £24.50
Benefit Hellow Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation - £25.50
Benefit Boi-ing - £17.50
Vaseline - £1.99
MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist - £5
Benefit Browzings - £23.50
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - £22

A grand total of = £220.99

I can't decide if that's more or less than I expected, probably more! Obviously I don't spend that all at once and I do get use out of all of it, that justifies it right?

What's in your makeup bag? Does it break the bank?

It's like a walk in the park,

There is actually a lady bird on the piece of corn, im not just admiring the corn

Sunglasses - Ted Baker
Necklace - Vintage
Top - Topshop
Bag - Zara

Sandals - Topshop

I have got millions of pictures in this post and I always blabber on so I will try to keep it short and sweet. I have been a bit crazy for topshop recently, as you can probably tell, I treated myself to this outfit last week and I love it. I love how easy and summery it is, it kept me nice and cool on my day out to coombe abbey park. This top comes in loads of gorgeous, different colours so for only £18 I think that I might just have to purchase a few more of these beauties.

Summer Essentials - Body

Here goes my first attempt at blogging on my ipad!!! Exciting stuff.

Us Brits never really seem to get any sun so we don't know how to handle it when we do. I'm no expert but here are the beauty products that I have been using and loving in an attempt to get the look of a cool, calm and collected sun goddess.

  1. Lee Stafford sea salt spray - This product has definitely been my number one hair product throughout the sunny weather. You simply spray it on towel dried hair, crunch it a little and just leave it to do its thing! Easy! My hair has a tendency to go so frizzy and fluffy, however this product has miraculously managed to tame it in to a volumised, wavey, beach perfect head of hair! At £7.99 it is a bit pricey for me but as you don't have to use much of the product I can imagine it to be long lasting.

  2. Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalising Gel Body Oil - Im one of those girls who even in the sweltering heat wouldn't be caught without skin coloured tights on at least. That's all changed now!! This body oil makes your skin look so smooth and even. It also gives it a subtle, healthy glow. It keeps your skin hydrated and smelling of gorgeous coco all day long! Also a little goes a long way!! It has been amazing in this hot weather. It retails at £4.69 which I think is a very good price for the quality.

  3. Soap and glory sugar crush body scrub - I'm a sucker for the soap and glory range, however this seems to be the one that I have been reaching for most recently. The scrub is harsh enough to buff away any unwanted skin but not so harsh that it leaves your skin pink and sad. It smells just as gorgeous and sweet as most of the soap and glory range. It's an all round success for me!! At £8 it's not the most expensive but not so cheap either, I always treat myself to it when it's on 3 for 2 at boots so that I don't feel so bad.

  4. Johnsons holiday skin body lotion - The idea of instant fake tan scares me so much so this gradual tan is a great way to ease yourself in to the world of sun goddesses! It comes in fair to medium and medium to dark so it's good for all skin tones. It gives you a really even and natural looking tan, also theres no gross fake tan smell! It's priced at £5.10 so it's an all round winner for me!

  5. Soap and glory heel genius - Nobody likes to see gross, cracked feet out in the summer so this is my aid for that. Feet can often be one of those things that people neglect and don't look after but sun goddesses can't afford to be doing that! It's a really nice, soft moisturiser that gets to work straight away. To me £5.50 is a very affordable price for pretty feet.

  6. Piz buin 1 day long - This is my all time favourite sun cream it smells beautiful, lasts all day and its nice to my skin. I really struggle with sun creams as a lot of them make me break out in acne, which is never good. I've never had that problem with piz buin and that's why I love it. It's easy to apply and with it being 1 day long you can apply it in the morning and not have to worry about a thing. It comes in a few different factors, I use factor 15 as I find that it protects me from burning but still allows me to get a lovely tan. It's £12.99 for 100ml and £19.99 for 200ml which is expensive but I don't mind paying more for it as the quality is brilliant and you only have to apply it once a day.

So I know that this post is probably a little over due but hopefully it'll be useful to you guys as the weather is meant to be staying lovely for a while and it is now holiday season! Keep a look out as there will be a summer essentials - face post coming up very soon!

What are your summer must haves?

15 Hours of Fawless?

(It is the same day, however I just got changed)

Ok, so I got given this new product around about 3 weeks ago now, however I wanted to really test and trial it before reviewing it. It is Benefits latest launch; Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer £24.50
First of all, the packaging is really cute and matches the other products within benefits stay flawless range. It comes in a handy balm form, stopping you from wasting any and making it really easy to apply.
I have been applying this product in a circular motion over my face after my moisturiser and before any make-up as recommended. I found that using less of this product is definitely best as too much can make it feel a little cakey. I have been using it with my benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation but I believe that any foundation, tinted moisturiser and bb cream can be used. I didn't have to use as much foundation as normal but using this primer did mean that I had to spend more time buffing and blending it.
The primer gave me a fuller coverage, more matte finish and a longer hold. I did have to top up my powder ( due to an oily shine) and put a bit more blusher on, but I didn't have to do it half as much as I normally do and my foundation base did stay in place for the whole day. I wish that I could have worn it for the full 15 hours but I needed to go to bed!
Overall, I love this product and I would definitely re-purchase it. It is on the pricey side but as I didn't have to use as much foundation, the primer is in a product saving balm and you only have to use a tiny bit of it I figured that the price isn't all that bad. It's great for all of us girls on the go that haven't got time to be topping up our faces!

What's your all time favourite primer?
