Rockateur- Benefit Blush

I received this Rockateur Benefit blusher almost two months ago now and it has made its way nicely in to  my day to day makeup bag. I absolutely love it! It's official launch was on the 7th September and it retails at £23.50. It is priced the same as all of the other benefit blushers which is a bit naughty as you get 5.0g of product in rockateur, whereas you get 8.0g in the rest. Tut tut!

This blush is described as a rose gold tone, which I would agree with. It gives you a lovely flush of pink, with a hint of bronze in there too. It's fully pigmented, giving you more colour with less product. It hasn't been lasting on me all day, however I haven't actually found any blushers that have! Do they even exist?

I'm really happy with this product, I don't think that I would spend £23.50 on such a small amount of blush though.

July Favourites

Better late than never ladies! Here are my July favourites (sorry about the not so good quality picture). I love doing monthly favourite posts, however I always seem to forget. I am on the ball this month!

Naked Urban Decay Palette £36 - This one is a no brainer for me really, it is by far my favourite eye-shadow palette and it was worth every penny. I have used it so much in the past month as all of the colours are so easy to wear day and night. They look effortlessly beautiful. Doesn't take a genius to apply them!

Bi-Facil Lancome Make-up Remover £16 - I received this as part of a promotional gift a while back and have only recently gotten around to use it. It is brilliant at removing even They're Real (Benefit) mascara without leaving an oily residue. At £16 I wouldn't have ever purchased it myself and I don't think that I will be repurchasing when I run out. It is an amazing product, however just too pricey for me.

Topshop Lipstick Beatnik £8 - This has been my casual day to day lipstick ever since I bought it at the beginning of July. I love it! Great pigment, hydrating and long lasting. Definitely a staple product for me.

Stay Flawless Benefit £24.50 - Throughout the heat wave this has been the only thing able to keep my make-up on my face and not on the floor! I did review this product in full just here. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it!

Lee Stafford Sea Salt Spray £7.99 - In the summer I get really lazy with my hair because I am too hot and bothered so this is a great quick and easy fix for my crazy hair. I have also reviewed this product fully just go here.

Mineralize Skinfinish Natural MAC £22 - I am super pale so I really struggle to find a bronzer that gives me the perfect amount of colour...then this beauty rolled in to my life! I use this every single day and for lazy days it is even great as an all over dusting of colour. Definitely my favourite MAC product! It lasts super long too!

See By Chloe £49 (50ml) - This is a beautiful light, floral summer fragrance. I love it and wear it most days! As it is Eau De Parfum you only need a little bit to keep you smelling lovely all day!

So this is just a quick post! I just couldn't wait to tell you guys about these beautiful dresses that I bought the other day. I knew that I had to tell you pronto too because they're such a bargain that I doubt that they will last long on the shelves! These two beautiful tea dresses were £8 - Primark, they're a lovely fit, lovely material and my purse loves them! I'm sure that they will be featuring in an ootd post soon, so keep your eyes pealed if you want to see how I would style them!

It's simple MOM!

Belt - Newlook
Jeans - MOM Topshop
Socks - Primark
Boots - Topshop
Backpack - Topshop
Watch - Michael Kors

So the weather has been super crazy here, super hot rain...what's that all about?! I tried to balance out my outfit so that I was prepared for whatever the weather was going to throw at me. I bought these MOM style jeans from Topshop last week and I am in love with them! They are of a high quality and well worth the £40 price tag, definitely a wardrobe staple! They're so comfortable and easy to wear, hence why i styled them so simply today. No doubt that I will do another post on how to style them in a different, more unusual way.

What's in my makeup bag?

So I thought that i'd let you guys have a peak at the products that I keep in my day to day makeup bag and would struggle to go without! I also thought that it would be interesting to add up all of the costs at the end too, fingers crossed that it doesn't mount to too much!

Here goes nothing....

MAC Blusher in Pink Swoon - £17.50
Bare Minerals Original Veil - £20
Benefit Erase Paste - £19.50
Benefit Stay Flawless Primer - £24.50

What's in your makeup bag? Does it break the bank?

Sunglasses - Ted Baker
Necklace - Vintage
Top - Topshop
Bag - Zara
Skirt - Topshop
Sandals - Topshop

I have got millions of pictures in this post and I always blabber on so I will try to keep it short and sweet. I have been a bit crazy for topshop recently, as you can probably tell, I treated myself to this outfit last week and I love it. I love how easy and summery it is, it kept me nice and cool on my day out to coombe abbey park. This top comes in loads of gorgeous, different colours so for only £18 I think that I might just have to purchase a few more of these beauties.

Summer Essentials - Body

Here goes my first attempt at blogging on my ipad!!! Exciting stuff.

Us Brits never really seem to get any sun so we don't know how to handle it when we do. I'm no expert but here are the beauty products that I have been using and loving in an attempt to get the look of a cool, calm and collected sun goddess.

  1. Lee Stafford sea salt spray - This product has definitely been my number one hair product throughout the sunny weather. You simply spray it on towel dried hair, crunch it a little and just leave it to do its thing! Easy! My hair has a tendency to go so frizzy and fluffy, however this product has miraculously managed to tame it in to a volumised, wavey, beach perfect head of hair! At £7.99 it is a bit pricey for me but as you don't have to use much of the product I can imagine it to be long lasting.

  2. Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalising Gel Body Oil - Im one of those girls who even in the sweltering heat wouldn't be caught without skin coloured tights on at least. That's all changed now!! This body oil makes your skin look so smooth and even. It also gives it a subtle, healthy glow. It keeps your skin hydrated and smelling of gorgeous coco all day long! Also a little goes a long way!! It has been amazing in this hot weather. It retails at £4.69 which I think is a very good price for the quality.

  3. Soap and glory sugar crush body scrub - I'm a sucker for the soap and glory range, however this seems to be the one that I have been reaching for most recently. The scrub is harsh enough to buff away any unwanted skin but not so harsh that it leaves your skin pink and sad. It smells just as gorgeous and sweet as most of the soap and glory range. It's an all round success for me!! At £8 it's not the most expensive but not so cheap either, I always treat myself to it when it's on 3 for 2 at boots so that I don't feel so bad.

  4. Johnsons holiday skin body lotion - The idea of instant fake tan scares me so much so this gradual tan is a great way to ease yourself in to the world of sun goddesses! It comes in fair to medium and medium to dark so it's good for all skin tones. It gives you a really even and natural looking tan, also theres no gross fake tan smell! It's priced at £5.10 so it's an all round winner for me!

  5. Soap and glory heel genius - Nobody likes to see gross, cracked feet out in the summer so this is my aid for that. Feet can often be one of those things that people neglect and don't look after but sun goddesses can't afford to be doing that! It's a really nice, soft moisturiser that gets to work straight away. To me £5.50 is a very affordable price for pretty feet.

  6. Piz buin 1 day long - This is my all time favourite sun cream it smells beautiful, lasts all day and its nice to my skin. I really struggle with sun creams as a lot of them make me break out in acne, which is never good. I've never had that problem with piz buin and that's why I love it. It's easy to apply and with it being 1 day long you can apply it in the morning and not have to worry about a thing. It comes in a few different factors, I use factor 15 as I find that it protects me from burning but still allows me to get a lovely tan. It's £12.99 for 100ml and £19.99 for 200ml which is expensive but I don't mind paying more for it as the quality is brilliant and you only have to apply it once a day.

So I know that this post is probably a little over due but hopefully it'll be useful to you guys as the weather is meant to be staying lovely for a while and it is now holiday season! Keep a look out as there will be a summer essentials - face post coming up very soon!

What are your summer must haves?

15 Hours of Fawless?

(It is the same day, however I just got changed)

Ok, so I got given this new product around about 3 weeks ago now, however I wanted to really test and trial it before reviewing it. It is Benefits latest launch; Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer £24.50
First of all, the packaging is really cute and matches the other products within benefits stay flawless range. It comes in a handy balm form, stopping you from wasting any and making it really easy to apply.
I have been applying this product in a circular motion over my face after my moisturiser and before any make-up as recommended. I found that using less of this product is definitely best as too much can make it feel a little cakey. I have been using it with my benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation but I believe that any foundation, tinted moisturiser and bb cream can be used. I didn't have to use as much foundation as normal but using this primer did mean that I had to spend more time buffing and blending it.
The primer gave me a fuller coverage, more matte finish and a longer hold. I did have to top up my powder ( due to an oily shine) and put a bit more blusher on, but I didn't have to do it half as much as I normally do and my foundation base did stay in place for the whole day. I wish that I could have worn it for the full 15 hours but I needed to go to bed!
Overall, I love this product and I would definitely re-purchase it. It is on the pricey side but as I didn't have to use as much foundation, the primer is in a product saving balm and you only have to use a tiny bit of it I figured that the price isn't all that bad. It's great for all of us girls on the go that haven't got time to be topping up our faces!

What's your all time favourite primer?

Nicole by O.P.I- Hello World

Ok, so I have heard so many good things about O.P.I nail varnishes and I have always wanted to own a few, however I haven't ever been able to bring myself to spend £11.50 on a nail varnish. So when superdrug launched the Nicole by O.P.I range for £7.99 and then put them on 3 for 2 I just could not resist. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 were presents, but I did pick myself up one in this beautiful coral shade- Hello World.
I have had this colour on for a few days now and I am really impressed with how little it has chipped, I was less impressed with how many coats I had to do. I had to do 4 coats with this nail varnish as the colour just wasn't going on as fully and vivid as I had expected.I don't know if this is an issue with all O.P.I nail varnishes, or just this particular branch. Luckily the nail varnish seemed to dry extremely quickly though so it didn't end up taking me as long as you'd think. The brush was very easy to use, and the polish went on smoothly.
Overall I am impressed with this polish and I am definitely considering treating myself to more of the colours from this range.

Have you tried any polishes from the O.P.I ranges?

Sunshine and Shades

Pinafore- Topshop
Shirt-Vintage (via gladrags)
Shoes- schuh
Sunglasses- Gladrags
Earrings- Newlook

Just a few snaps of me making the most out of the lovely sun that we have had, we all know that it won't be lasting for long. Between working I have only managed to sunbathe for an hour, however I have managed to get myself a few tan lines! How impressive?
I love this pinafore, it's really comfortable because it's made out of a nice, stretchy denim material. I also think that the buttons on it make it just that little bit cuter. If it was warmer today then I would have probably put a crop top on underneath or a short sleeved t-shirt. I decided to pair it with my all time favourite blouse instead to add some warmth and colour :).

Also, you guys should really check out Gladrags, they are a one off boutique in coventry, however they have opened up an online store for all of you lucky ladies that can't get to the boutique. They stock the latest trends including; vintage items, Elsie and fred, motel, levi and loads of other great stuff too! It's really worth a gander :). Happy shopping!

All gone!

Batiste Dry Shampoo- I really loved receiving this little product, it was so handy to take away with me and it's amazing at making your hair look as fresh as a daisy. It was really quick and easy, and didn't leave me with white hair :). I can happily say that I have gone on to buy the big version of this.

MAC Studio Fix £20.50- I wasn't as impressed with this product as I was hoping that I would be. I simply continued to use it as I didn't want it to go to waste. I decided to use it as a finishing powder rather than a foundation because I have pretty bad skin right now and need quite a full coverage. I just feel that there are a lot of products out there that are as equally as good for a lower pride. I won't be re-buying.

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer £17.50- I love this! By far the best concealer that I have ever used. Gives a really full, matte coverage and it actually stays in place. It's really easy to blend alone or with foundation. A bit on the pricey side, however im willing to pay that for such a good product. I re-bought this before running out! Just to be on the safe side.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer Sample (full size £20.50) - I like this product as it does what it says and is the only eye primer that I have found that can be used for under eye as well. It keeps everything where it should be and makes your eye makeup last. It is quite expensive though so I am definitely going to be looking for a cheaper alternative before jumping in to buy the full size product

Benefit They're Real Mascara £19.50 - Check out my full product review here. I love this mascara even though my bank doesn't. I'm pretty picky when it comes to mascaras, this is the only one that I have found that successfully volumizes, curls and separates my lashes. Im currently on my third one!

Boots Botanics Make-up Remover £4.00 - I love both this product and the price tag that it comes with. It's brilliant at removing even the most stubborn makeup without leaving your skin feeling sore. It doesn't leave skin feeling oily either. It's great! I would be re-buying however boots have launched a new version that I have unfortunately heard only bad things about :(.

What products do you find yourself always re-buying?

Corn fields and crop tops!

Crop top- Topshop
Skirt- Newlook
Belt- Zara
Shoes- Converse
Necklace- Newlook
Jacket- Vintage!
Glasses- Gladrags
Earrings- Muse

So here are some not so serious, sunny outfit snaps. The sunny weather puts me in such a good mood and always makes me want to put that bit more effort in to my outfit. I also think that any outfit automatically looks cooler when you put on some shades!
You all need to take the time to admire my beautiful jacket, at only £15 this was an absolute bargain. I bought it from one of many vintage shops in Brighton. I instantly fell in love! I think that it looks really classy paired with an all black outift and some gold jewellery too.
I really love the crop top fashion right now, however, as I am not a lady of the smallest size I have never known how to wear it. If you feel the same then I would definitely recommend pairing a crop top with something high waisted, this still gives you a lovely shape whilst being able to wear the trend.

What are your favourite things about the sunny weather?

MUA Product Review

MUA Nail Varnish- Pistachio Ice Cream

I have been reading a lot about the MUA cosmetics collection, however in coventry it is so hard to find a superdrug that isn't out of stock of it all. I went to a little town called Kenilworth yesterday, where they had almost everything stocked up so I ended up buying loads of MUA products, I just can't believe how cheap they are (I will be reviewing the other products once I have had chance to trial them properly). They have recently launched a new range, including this lovely gem and for only £1 I couldn't help but purchase it.

First impressions, by looking at this varnish I would not think that it were only £1. It actually reminds me of the essie varnishes, but on a smaller scale. I did have to apply 3 coats of this nail varnish to achieve a shade that I was happy with, but that's not a massive deal for me. I have had the varnish on for 24 hours now and it has only chipped a tiny bit at the edge, this is pretty good going for me though. Due to my job and day to day doings my nail varnish tends to chip like crazy!

Overall I would say that I am really happy with this product, the colour and quality for the price is amazing. I will definitely be buying more of these beauties!

Have you tried any of the new MUA range?

Yet another topshop bargain!

Leather Jacket- T.K Max
Dress- Topshop
Shoes- Converse

This is yet another one of my bargain buys from topshop it was down from £40 to £20, I just couldn't say no! I really like it, it kind of reminds me of a denim tea towel :). I love this fit of this dress, on the hanger it looks like it'd be really unflattering but once on I think that it is quite the opposite. It's really cute and simple to wear, I also have the same dress but plain denim. I am a little addicted to this fit dress!

Whilst the weather is nice I will be filling my blog with more and more outfit posts, sunny clothes and pictures are my fave!

Have you been finding some decent bargains recently?

I've got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunishine...

Leather Jacket- T.K Max
Sun glasses- Gladrags
Handbag- Topshop
Earrings- Topshop
Necklace- Newlook
Belt- Zara
Dress- Topshop
Shoes- Vans

The weather has been beautiful! It probably won't last long so I thought that I would make the most out of it whilst I can. I really love this dress, it is currently in the sale as well (I hate it when you pay full price and it's in the sale a few weeks later) it is so pretty and perfect for day or night. As I was only going to town and the pub I thought that I would dress it down by pairing it with my leather jacket and vans. It was so nice to be able to finally wear this dress, I have had it for a while and the poor thing has just been sat in my wardrobe waiting for the right weather. It is going to get so much wear over the summer and I will be keeping it for many summers to come! I treated myself to the earrings and handbag this week, they were in the topshop sale for half of their original price! I just couldn't say no to £3.50 earrings and a £20 handbag! I love a good bargain. I'm also wearing my new morange MAC lipstick, which I have reviewed in my previous post. It has got a firm place in my handbag for the upcoming sunny days.

What are your staple pieces for this spring and summer?

MAC Morange Review

MAC Lipstick- Morange

Ok, so this is my first ever MAC lipstick. I was out and about in Leicester the other day and I 'accidentally' came across a mac counter and this just fell in to my hand. Admitedly I did buy a few products that day, all of which whill be popping up on my blog soon. I love this colour, it's such a pretty and vibrant coral shade. It has a hint of red in there too which I think stops it from being too bright. If that makes any sense? Anyway, it's a lovely sharp colour that can brighten up any dull, english spring or summer.
As I was a MAC lipstick virgin I was a bit scared that I would be paying £14 for a brand name rather than a good quality lippy. I was nicely surprised :). A lot of matte finish lippy's tend to be drying and hard to apply, i didn't have this issue at all. In fact it continued to be creamy and moisturising long after I had applied it. Also the full colour stayed on for quite a while, and even once it had began to fade it still left a nice hint of a coral stain.
I must admit that I am really impressed with this product, it is well worth £14 and I will happily be buying more MAC lipsticks in the future.

Have you tried any MAC lipsticks? If so, what are your favourite shades?

OOTD: A little birdy told me...

Top- Topshop
Skirt- NewLook
Cardigan- Topshop (Mum's wardrobe)
Shoes- Converse
Necklace- NewLook
Watch- Casio
Bracelet- Topshop

I haven't done an outfit post for what seems like foreer! So this is just my chilling day outfit, it's my day off after a long weekend so it's nothing too fancy. The weather was rather indecisive today so I was prepared for a bit of chill with my mum's lovely, cosey cardigan.
I love this top! I came across it in Topshop when I went to visit Leicester the other day and it made me giggle. I really like the vintage style of the birds on their and I think that they take the top from being a little rude, to just a bit cheeky! I don't know if you can see very well in the picture (poor quality as I have lost my camera charger and had to use a phone) but it has a tree on with all different kind of birds with their names next to them i.e blue tit, bearded tit etc. Then at the top it says 'Great British Tits'. Cheeky!

I am going to start posting outfit posts more often!
